Sandra Estiarte

“She takes care of people and projects as if they were her own.”

Sandra is calm. She is peace. And she is strategy with a smile. She has that rare gift of making things happen without raising her voice, without pressuring, without imposing. Because Sandra doesn’t sell: she believes. She believes in what she offers, she believes in people, she believes in the solutions she proposes, and that’s why she connects, convinces, and transforms. She has extraordinary intuition. She is capable of understanding what you need even when you haven’t verbalized it yet. She sees beyond the obvious, and from there she acts, with simplicity and authenticity. For Sandra, nothing needs to be overly complicated. The essential, well done and with meaning, is enough. She doesn’t seek the spotlight. In fact, she avoids the leading role, because her talent is in giving space to others, in creating environments where things happen. And yet, her impact is noticeable. However, no one should mistake her serene tone: when Sandra wants something, she goes for it. But she does it with such subtle elegance, with such fine determination, that you almost don’t see it coming… until it has already happened, and everything has improved. Sandra is one of those people who changes you without making noise. And that, in a world of shouts, is power.

1.How do you define yourself when no one is looking?

If I look inwards, I see myself as a calm and thoughtful woman, who likes to observe and pay attention to everything around her. I love to listen and understand, and, above all, I fully value the verb to care. I like to care for people, starting with myself.

I am naturally positive, but not naive. Self-demand has accompanied me since I was little, and the curiosity to learn and keep growing never leaves me. I have faith in people and their good work. I defend that, without fear, we must put aside what—or those who—do not contribute to us, without fear of what others will say. I believe that with respect and education, one moves forward, one evolves.
But, above all, my priority is to care for my family, my friends, and all those people whom, over the years, I have the privilege of keeping close. Because life is also about choosing who we want to surround ourselves with, and that, fundamentally, defines who I am better than anything else.

2. When you think about your talent, about what you contribute beyond your role, about what makes you unique, what would you say it is?

I believe my talent is in generating trust and creating an environment where people feel heard, cared for, and motivated to give their best. Beyond my role, I contribute global vision and serenity for decision-making, but also the necessary determination to make things happen. I like to connect ideas and people, find simple solutions to complex problems, and, above all, always do it with respect and authenticity.

3. What values govern your life and how do they manifest in your daily life?

The values that govern my life are respect, honesty, responsibility, and excellence. Respect translates into actively listening, valuing the diversity of opinions, and building relationships based on mutual trust. Honesty guides each of my decisions, ensuring coherence between what I think, say, and do. Responsibility is manifested in my commitment to results and the care of resources. And excellence drives me to always seek the best version of each project and myself, maintaining curiosity and continuous learning as a growth engine.

4. What do you look for in what you do, professionally or personally?

For me, it is key that what I do is aligned with my values and contributes to improving, even if just a little, the lives of people and the environment around me, both professionally and personally. I seek to provide real value. In the professional field, my goal is to create environments where ideas turn into tangible and sustainable results; in the personal, to find meaning in every step, constantly learning and evolving. In both cases, I need what I do to be aligned with my values and, in some way, contribute to improving the lives of people and the environment around me.”

5. What do you fall in love with, what moves you, what excites you?

People and their stories… everyone has one, or more than one. Thanks to my work, I live surrounded by stories of overcoming adversity and realities that are rarely talked about in the news. That direct contact, that unfiltered authenticity, is what inspires me and connects me deeply with the human being. In the end, what moves me are: stories.

6. What do you deeply detest?

I deeply detest the lack of respect, dishonesty, and inconsistency. It especially makes me uncomfortable when people act without considering the impact their decisions have on others or the environment. The lack of commitment also distances me, because I believe that the given word and assumed responsibility are essential pillars for any relationship, whether professional or personal. And finally, I deeply detest everything that is useless, unnecessary; there is a lot of that.

7. What happens when people truly see you?

I want to think that when they truly see me, they discover a serene yet determined person, who listens and observes before acting. They see someone who cares, who gets involved, and who believes in what she does and in the people she works with. And, perhaps, they perceive that behind the calm there is a great determination to make things happen, always with respect, coherence, and authenticity.

8. What kind of decisions do you like to be involved in?

I like to be involved in all those decisions where I can truly contribute, especially when it is not just about a short-term solution, but about contributing to making something sustainable in the long term. I value participating in decisions that drive growth, foster collaboration, and are aligned with the values and objectives of the project or organization, always with a practical and results-oriented approach.

9. What kind of conversations do you think are missing in companies today?

The ones that are uncomfortable. I like decisions that are uncomfortable. I believe it is necessary to learn to make others uncomfortable to open space for solutions, concepts, and decisions that provide true value after that moment. It’s not about fear, but about shared responsibility and understanding that, many times, the best answers arise from confronting and managing those uncomfortable situations with judgment and openness.

10. What is a valuable thing you learned from a failure?

I believe failure is necessary, both professionally and personally. Although at the moment it may seem that one will not get up again, the human capacity to overcome, accept, and face is infinite. Many would prefer to avoid it, and it’s not about normalizing failure, but about talking about it more. Because there will always be someone who, even in silence, will appreciate it upon realizing they are not the only one. In the end, every failure implies a learning that, when well utilized, drives us to grow.

11. How do you know you have contributed value to a project or a professional relationship?

I know I have added value when I am satisfied with my involvement and know that I have been coherent with my values and my effort. Also when they thank me for truly listening to them, because for me, being listened to is the first step for things to change. Ultimately, value is measured in real impact and in relationships that endure over time.

12. If you had to choose a famous phrase that represents you, which one would it be?

“Avui és el millor dia / Today is the best day”. It is the phrase of my friend Ilde Oliveras, who suffers from ALS. He created this motto, these words full of strength and affection, which embrace life even when it appears unfair. A constant reminder that every day, no matter how difficult, deserves to be lived fully.

13.What would you like to explore or build at this stage of your life?

In this professional stage of my life, I want to continue building projects that generate a real and lasting social impact. I am especially motivated to contribute to making the third sector more understandable, recognized, and respected, contributing to its professionalization from my experience and commitment. I aspire to combine creativity, strategy, and management so that initiatives not only transform lives but are also sustainable over time. And, on that path, I wish to surround myself with people who share this vision and who add talent to multiply results. In the personal sphere, my greatest desire is for nothing to change: that the happiness and love that fills our home always remain, fruit of the union and complicity of all who inhabit it.

14. If you could write a sentence that someone would remember about you 10 years from now, what would it be?

She takes care of people and projects as if they were her own.
